Terms and conditions

Eight lines.
That's all of them.

Most terms and conditions run to thousands of words, and they protect the company. Ours protect you, and they apply to every game we sell.

  1. Buy it once

You never pay a subscription to keep playing.

  2. Updates are free

Fixes and new content cost nothing extra.

  3. No pay-to-win

Money never buys power, stats or an edge over other players.

  4. No loot boxes

You never pay for a random reward.

  5. No ads in paid games

If you paid for it, it never shows you an ad.

  6. The whole game at launch

We hold nothing back to sell to you later.

  7. It keeps working

Single-player and direct-connect co-op run without our servers, so the game outlives them.

  8. A DRM-free copy

We also sell every game without DRM, so your copy runs with no launcher.

Samurai Survivor II

"The dead on the field do not know they are dead."

Dusk over a battlefield in the rain. Banners and spears stand abandoned in the grass, and the dead walk toward a lit hall at the edge of the field.

Samurai Survivor II is a first-person katana game set in Japan in the 1580s. After a battle, thousands of dead lie unburied in a valley. Each night they come for the hall at the edge of the field.

Hold the hall until dawn. Your sword only stops the dead for a while. They get up again unless someone kneels and lays them to rest, so your score counts the dead you lay to rest, not the ones you cut down.

Every cut follows your swing. Flick the mouse or tilt the stick, and the blade goes where you aimed. Block, parry and dodge to stay alive until morning.

Where zahfox began

We made Samurai Survivor in 2016 and Cosmic Conundrum in 2017 as student projects in college. They're small, rough toys next to what we're building now. We keep them online because zahfox started with them, and both still play free in your browser.

Samurai Survivor

Hold a walled dojo against waves of zombies with a katana and a belt of potions. It's a short survival game, and the first thing we made.

Cosmic Conundrum

Fight trolls, aliens and swamp monsters on floating tiles in deep space, one tile at a time. It's a small grid game we made a year later.
